Eric J. Sieczka is the Chairman, President and CEO of Epsilon Imaging. Mr. Sieczka has spent the past 18 years commercializing technologies and building Michigan-based enterprises. His experience ranges from technology creation, product development and operations management to financing and strategic transactions. He is also the co-founder, and sits on the Board, of Pixel Velocity Incorporated, another investor-backed early stage technology business and the former parent company of Epsilon Imaging. Prior to starting Pixel Velocity and Epsilon Imaging, Mr. Sieczka was the Vice President of Operations for EOTech Inc, where he built the operations from a start-up product concept, into a world-class, fully integrated manufacturing facility with optical, electrical, and mechanical design capabilities servicing markets around the globe. Prior to his departure, Mr. Sieczka helped orchestrate the successful sale of EOTech to L-3 Communications (a $10B publicly traded defense contractor). Mr. Sieczka has eight patents covering an array of electro-optic technologies. He holds a BSEE degree from Kettering Institute and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Steven C. Ajluni, MD FACC is the CEO and Managing Medical Partner of the Michigan Heart Group, PC, one of the largest cardiology practices at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. He is also an integral part of the teaching faculty in the cardiology division at William Beaumont Hospital and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Oakland University-William Beaumont Hospital Medical School. He has authored dozens of papers, manuscripts, and chapters in cardiology literature and has presented lectures at both regional and national meetings. Dr. Ajluni has been the primary or co-investigator on over 30 cardiology research studies and clinical trials, and has served on medical advisory boards both locally and nationally for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. He also serves as medical director on the board for ECG Scanning, a national telemetry monitoring service. Dr. Ajluni is a graduate the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Matthew O’Donnell, Ph.D. is the Frank and Julie Jungers Dean of Engineering and also a Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington. He has won numerous awards, including the Achievement Award from the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics & Frequency Control Society. He is a fellow of the IEEE and AIMBE and is a member of the National Academy of Engineering. His most recent research has explored new imaging modalities in biomedicine, including elasticity imaging, in vivo microscopy, optoacoustic arrays, optoacoustic contrast agents for molecular imaging and therapy, thermal strain imaging, and catheter based devices. He has previously held faculty appointments at Washington University and the University of Michigan, and a visiting appointment at Yale University. He worked several years with General Electric Corporate Research in Schenectady, NY, on medical electronics, including MRI and ultrasound imaging systems. Dr. O’Donnell has over 300 archival publications and 55 patents. Dr. O’Donnell has a BS and Ph.D. in Physics, University of Notre Dame.
Hiro R. Hiranandani has more than 30 years of management experience during which he has led and shaped technology based businesses ranging in size from $10 million to over $2 billion. He was one of the co-founders and ultimately became President of Graphic Sciences Inc., which grew to become a $20 million leading supplier of Fax Systems and was a major competitor to Xerox. Mr. Hiranandani spent 18 years with Pitney Bowes Inc., culminating in an appointment as President, Worldwide Mailing Systems, a $2 billion dollar core business unit. Since 1995 Mr. Hiranandani has been assisting companies reposition themselves for growth in sales and profits. He has helped companies improve performance by initiating new product strategies, restructuring operations and exploring new market segments. Mr. Hiranandani holds BSEE from the University of Missouri, an MSEE degree from Purdue University, and an MBA from the University of Bridgeport.
Thomas C. Kinnear is Eugene Applebaum Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies, Executive Director of the Samuel Zell and Robert H. Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, and Professor of Marketing at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He has received awards from the University of Michigan for teaching excellence and service to the University. He previously held a faculty appointment at the University of Western Ontario, and visiting appointments at Harvard University, Stanford University, and the European Management Institute (INSEAD) at Fontainebleau, France. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of entrepreneurial studies, strategic marketing planning, marketing and public policy, and market-based management. He is co-author of several books including Modern Marketing Research, (Thomson) and Principles of Marketing (Harper Collins). He is CEO and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Venture Michigan Corporation, a $200 million venture capital fund of funds, and is a Director and the former Chair of the American Marketing Association. He is active in the entrepreneurial community as a co-founder, advisor, angel investor, and Board member of several startup companies. He is also a member of the investment committee for EDF Ventures and Chairs this committee for Arboretum Ventures. Dr. Kinnear holds an undergraduate degree and LLD (honoris causa) from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, an MBA from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
